| Gite The Stables and The Barn are t wo 3-bedroom cottages in a rural location overlooking the Auvézère valley and surrounded by woods and meadows. Each cottage sleeps up to seven and has a comfortable living room and well equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave, good sized fridge and cooker. Each has its own private garden area with patio furniture and barbecue. The cottages share the 13 x 5m fenced swimming pool and outdoor table-tennis. Just one mile from village with bakery, supermarket, post office, bar/restaurant and other shops. Ideally located for local attractions of the area - caves, châteaux, medieval towns, canoeing, fishing, leisure lake, horse riding etc. |
Things to see and do
The 17th C chateau at Hautefort is just 3 miles away. Also the medical museum at Hautefort. The 13th C Abbey at Tourtoirac is just one mile from us. Good base to visit Périgueux (30 mins), various caves e.g. Lascaux (30 mins) and numerous chateaux locally.
