A nice campsite to stay at just after you have entred France is Camping Du Lac in Foix.
It's location map is here
Although I have stayed here I have lost the GPS coordinates for the place. The location map shows it's rough location but the site is so easy to find. If you stay on the N20 through Foix it is on the left hand side of the road as you are heading north. If you stop there please could you let me know it's coordinates. Thanks.

| Ok, I know this may be an obvious choice but I just can't ignore the closest thing to Nirvana I have ever experienced! Riding from Northern Spain up the 145 through Andorra and the town of Andorra La Vella to link with the N20 into France is a road made for bikers. Just take a look at the photo above. Fast straights linked by sweeping fast and tight slow bends on snooker table smooth tarmac. If you can't get your knee down here you never will. Stop at the top of the mountain road and look back at your playground before you get your next fix making a balistic twisting entry into France down the other side. I really don't think it gets any better than this. |
