Flights, Ferries and Trains

GETTING THERE
We all have those occasions when we are talking to friends who tell us, ' I've just got this amazing deal on a flight to X,Y or Z' and find they found it on the internet. Well, below I list most of the major airlines, ferry companies and rail services but, the ones to start with are 'Who flies' and 'Opodo', these will be the ones where your friends and others, including myself, find the real bargains. Just a point to bear in mind; we were looking for a direct flight from London (UK) to Dulles (USA) and found it for £245 all inc. The problem was that we needed to check someone would pick us up from the airport which meant that we could not book the flight until the next day, result, next day the same flight cost £295! They do go fast and prices do change, so if you find a flight you think is a good deal book it that day.
FLIGHTS
FERRIES
is owned by nine of Europe's leading airlines: Aer Lingus, Air France, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa and by GDS and travel technology provider, Amadeus. It is probably one of the best places to search for a flight

  Trains
Rail Europe is THE place to find bargain rail tickets for trains all over Europe including the Eurotunnel, the TGV in France and even tickets for nostalgic journeys on the Orient Express and steam trains in the UK.
  Rail Europe
Just a note to remind you about travel insurance, I use ' ' because of their very competitive annual rates and because they will cover me whilst riding my motorbike abroad.
