Camping municipal Le Perron is a very pleasant, quiet and pretty site located within 15 minutes walking distance of the attractive town of Saulieu in Burgundy. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in Saulieu but everyone seems to go to bed early, hence our walk into town found most places closed at 9pm in June. Maybe they open later in July and August. This site is in the Morvan Regional Park which is an area of outstanding natural beauty so there is some absolutely fantastic scenery in the area and fantastic roads to drive or cycle. If you are a motorcyclist you'll love all the twisties! The campsite is well kept and has a swimming pool and games room but these are only open in July and August. Overall, a good place as a stop over or an extended quiet holiday. |
