Castels camping Les Ranchisses is quite difficult to find without a GPS location because of a particularly difficult junction in Largentiere where the sign post is hidden when approached from the east via the D103. It is better to approach via the D104 then D5. The site is on the D5 about a mile out of Largentiere to the NW. You need to fork left in the town to continue on the D5 and not carry on up the hill.
This is an excellent campsite with top notch facilities. The food in the restaurant is excellent and they do all sorts of take away snacks including pizzas. The site is generally quiet apart from some noise from the road and a few locals that think it's a great laugh to inform you of their passing by blasting their horns. However, this is definitely a place I would recommend for a long break.
