Le Bourg bed and breakfast

Le Bourg is a homely bed and breakfast in a wonderful location in Cherence Le Roussel situated in Lower Normandy, France. The house is over 200 years old, packed with history. During the second world war American soldiers occupied the house during the fight for the liberation of Normandy and the German counter attack in August 1944. Cherence Le Roussel is a pretty little village with an old church, a small bar and shop and a bakery offering fresh bread, croissants and cakes. The village has 3 rivers, where fishing is popular. Le Bourg is an ideal base for visitors to this wonderful region of France. For the D Day landing beaches we are approximately 1 hour and 40 mins drive (73 miles), Le Mont St-Michel is approximately 32 miles drive. Just 7 miles away is Mortain with its Petite Chapel and the remarkable falls, the Grande and Petite Cascade which are a must on your visit.
